Avascent joined thousands of firms and millions of individuals across the country in participating in the annual 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. What was a somber day in our nation’s history now serves as a means of paying tribute to 9/11 victims, heroes, and all who gave their service in response to the attacks.
In partnership with HandsOn Greater DC Cares, Avascent volunteered for the day at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, DC. The home strives to fulfill our nation’s commitment to its veterans by providing a premier retirement community for hundreds of veterans. With strong participation from all levels of the firm, Avascent worked throughout the morning on several campus beautification activities and spent the afternoon socializing with veteran residents over games of bowling and bingo.
All of us at Avascent would like to thank both the Armed Forces Retirement Home for welcoming us into your beautiful community and HandsOn Greater DC Cares for facilitating the numerous activities around DC for on this important day of service and remembrance.
