The survey of 100 contracting executives indicated that respondents are anticipating a more cutthroat market, thanks to rising sources of competition like China and Russia. Jon Barney, Avascent managing director, was also quoted saying many executives don’t feel their organizations are ready to win in this environment. “It’s not as simple just to sell a product anymore,” Barney said, noting that companies feel they must deliver “solutions.”
