The Feasibility of a 350-Ship Navy
By August Cole and Matt Caris
One of the few areas of apparent certainty when it comes to the next administration’s defense policy is the promise of a 350-ship Navy. August Cole interviews Matt Caris, Senior Associate and head of Avascent’s maritime systems and shipbuilding practice, to explore the feasibility of this objective, both from a budget and shipbuilder manpower perspective, as well as whether a 350-ship Navy solves the relevant issues facing the U.S. military.
