Fighting the Opioid Epidemic: What’s in the FY19 Budget?
By Rachel Jenkins and Stephanie Stahl
As explored in the recent white paper, The Opioid Crisis: Drawing from the Past to Predict the Future, the opioid epidemic is a crisis of unprecedented scale and scope, affecting those from every income level and every region of the country, which up until this point had had relatively little dedicated funding. Now that the FY19 Department of Health and Human Services budget has been released, this podcast examines where funding is most likely to flow, what this means for firms ready to assist with the implementation of programs aimed at solving the problem, and what other priorities the budget request indicates for the year ahead.
