Initial Perspectives on the FY19 Budget
By Michael Barber and Matt Vallone
The FY19 Budget was issued on February 12, following the release of the National Defense Strategy on January 19. Michael Barber, Analysis Manager at Avascent Analytics, sat down with Director of Research & Analysis Matt Vallone to examine the key differences between this year and last year’s budget, the areas seeing the largest increases, and how the allocations in the budget reflect the priorities set up in the National Defense Strategy. More information and budget figures can also be found at Avascent Analytics’ recent presentation: https://www.slideshare.net/InfoAvascent/fy19-federal-and-dod-budget.
