David Slenzak
Senior Associate
David Slenzak is a Senior Associate at The Avascent Group, where he assists both large and small companies in developing and executing strategies that cover the full life-cycle of a government business development or government sales effort. He synthesizes a deep understanding of politics, process, and policy, with business and management fundamentals including finance, marketing, and operations to provide clients with a comprehensive understanding of a government business opportunity.
Prior to joining Avascent, Mr. Slenzak lobbied on behalf of defense, aerospace, high-tech, and other manufacturing firms at a Washington, DC-based lobbying firm specializing in federal business development, appropriations, and government and legislative analysis and strategies. Mr. Slenzak also worked as an aide to the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator John Warner.
Mr. Slenzak has a MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science from Davidson College in North Carolina. Mr. Slenzak is also a graduate of multiple Defense Acquisition University courses providing him with the industry equivalent of a Level 2 DAU certification in government acquisition and procurement. Mr. Slenzak currently sits as a Homeland Security Executive Committee Board Member for the National Defense Industries Association (NDIA).
