Timothy R. Garnett provides strategic guidance on organic and inorganic growth strategies and critical business evaluations to corporate development teams and financial sponsors focusing on the aerospace, defense, and industrial technology industries. Tim operates across various stages of the business growth cycle, including capabilities inventories, opportunity gap analyses, merger and acquisition (M&A) candidate screenings, target due diligence and post-merger integrations. Within each of these service offerings, Tim offers unique perspectives on market environmentals, business functionality and value propositions, operational dynamics and financial performance. During his nine years with Avascent (and DFI), Tim has worked directly with leadership from a variety of Fortune 100 firms as well as leading private equity firms and BDCs.
Prior to joining The Avascent Group, Tim worked in the international institutional finance industry as Equity Research Editor for Regent European Securities in Moscow, Russia. While with Regent, he provided research and analysis for a variety of industrial sectors across Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.
Tim graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William and Mary with a B.A. in Political Science.
