The Summer Program provides accomplished students the opportunity to apply their academic skills in a practical, dynamic, real-world setting.
Our Summer Analysts
Summer Analysts become integral members of our project teams and are given serious and substantive roles in delivering sophisticated solutions for our clients in close cooperation with our senior staff. Summer Analysts learn both the fundamentals of management consulting as well as the unique dynamics affecting those firms operating at the nexus of government and business.
For qualifying candidates, Avascent's Summer Program can also serve as a stepping stone to full-time positions with the company.

Training & Development
Summer Analysts participate in Avascent’s comprehensive training program covering topics ranging from industry-specific issues to analytical tools and consulting methodologies.
To foster professional and personal development, we pair our Summer Analysts with both a peer and a managerial advisor who serve as sounding boards, coaches, and mentors throughout the program’s duration. A formal review by the program coordinator concludes the internship, summarizing the Summer Analyst’s performance in an evaluative and constructive context.
Onboarding & Integration
Avascent fully integrates Summer Analysts into the firm’s culture through organizational and social events such as regular staff meetings, lunches, happy hours, and outside activities organized by our employees. This collegial attitude reflects the value we place on our collaborative atmosphere and the strong relationships we build.
Schedule
The Summer Analyst program occurs annually during the months of May-August, for a duration of not less than 10 weeks. The number of positions available and program start and end dates are generally set during the prior spring semester, and the firm offers sufficient flexibility in scheduling to accommodate candidates’ varying personal and academic calendars.
Recruiting & Selection
Our Summer Analysts are typically undergraduates entering their 4th or senior year, or graduates between their 1st and 2nd year of a non-business master's program, who are considering careers in the consulting field.
Avascent selects highly motivated candidates who possess excellent academic credentials, exhibit strong analytic and writing skills, and display deftness in interpersonal communication.
Recruiting and interviewing begins during the fall semester prior through the spring, with offers extended by mid-April. All majors will be considered.
