Alec Cobb’s Bio

Alec Cobb is a Director at Avascent, where he leads teams across the firm’s M&A transactions, government services, healthcare, defense systems, and commercial aerospace practices. Within the transactions practice, Alec supports corporate strategy & corporate development teams, private equity clients, and financial sponsors. Beyond M&A, Alec’s work focuses on growth strategy in both domestic and international markets. His strategy work ranges from highly-targeted campaigns to long-term enterprise-level growth plans.

Alec has supported over 80 consulting engagements in a range of sectors, including 25+ transactions in markets ranging from government services to electronics to healthcare mission IT and scientific support services.

Prior to joining Avascent, Alec supported Goldman Sachs’ finance division. He also has experience in transit analysis and advocacy.

Education

Alec holds a B.S. in mathematical economics and a B.A. in international studies from The University of Richmond. He speaks advanced Spanish and elementary Portuguese.
