Ari Buchman’s Bio

Ari Buchman is a leader in Avascent’s Defense and Security practice. He advises OEMs, platform integrators, professional services firms, government agencies, and financial clients. His specialties include unmanned systems, airborne ISR, munitions, geospatial intelligence, and military training.

He has supported over 90 Avascent engagements across government-driven industries, focused primarily on growth strategy development, BD optimization, and M&A transaction support. Ari also serves as the lead project manager for Avacent’s Israel-based clients.

Ari has authored multiple white papers including New Deal, New Consequences: US Security Assistance Pact Poses Challenges for Israel’s Defense Sector and Power Play: What the United Technologies Rockwell Collins Merger Means for the Commercial Aerospace Industry.

Prior to joining Avascent, Ari worked for Command Consulting Group—a homeland security consulting firm—where he was responsible for client and project management in the firm’s transportation security practice. He also worked as an analyst for multiple firms providing international business and geopolitical intelligence services.

Education

Ari graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tel Aviv University with an MA in Security and Diplomacy Studies and Summa Cum Laude from Emory University with a BA in History and International Studies.
