Toshi Nabeta’s Bio

Toshi Nabeta serves as Avascent’s Senior Director of Japan Operations. He comes to Avascent from the Mitsubishi Corporation where he had over 28 years of strategic and programmatic business development experience in Japan’s defense and aerospace industrial sector.

He has specific experience in space systems, C4ISR and other integrated defense systems, ballistic missile defense, cyber security, robotics, artificial intelligence, and the IoT. He also has broad experience working with US companies, gained while he was assigned to the Mitsubishi International Corporation’s Boston office for six years.

In leading Avascent’s day to day operations in Japan he will work closely with clients to develop and execute competitive and market growth strategies, identify and manage political strategy and risk, and help develop capture strategies optimized for identified and emerging opportunities. His primary focus is on the Japanese market, but his expertise includes various overseas markets as well.

Mr. Nabeta serves on the Management Board of the International Security Industry Council, ISIC Japan, as a Non-Executive Director.

Immediately prior to Avascent, Mr. Nabeta played a leading role in designing new functional capability and developing new measures to promote business innovation within the Machinery Group of Mitsubishi Corporation.

Education

He holds an M.S. in National Resource Strategy from Industrial College of the Armed Forces (currently known as Eisenhower School) of the National Defense University of the United States where he was an Industry Fellow, and a B.A. in Commerce from Hitotsubashi University of Japan.
