Brooke Owens Fellowship

Avascent provides paid internships and executive mentorship for undergraduate women and gender-minority students through the Brooke Owens Fellowship program.

Avascent’s space consulting staff hosts one or two Brooke Owens Fellows for a 10-week summer internship, pairing the “Brookies” with two mentors – one junior-level consultant and another senior director – to help with career development and day-to-day work.

Brookies typically work simultaneously on two engagements, one internal research report that relates to a unique element of the space ecosystem and another client-specific consulting project. They attend space networking events with Avascent staff and industry leaders to further their career development objectives.

Recent Brookies assessed the rapidly changing global launch services and satellite communications markets, informing internal datasets and deliverables with their findings.
