China’s Growth as a Commercial Manufacturer

 In Perspectives

China is becoming a more active player in the commercial space market. From 2010 through 2017 the country’s total domestic commercial satellite manufacturing revenue was $923.8M. China’s international commercial satellite manufacturing revenue rose from $291.3M in 2010 to $401.3M in 2017.

Communication satellites make up the largest share of this increase.

It is likely that China’s share of the international commercial satellite manufacturing market will continue to grow as more countries seek low-cost, domestically operated space assets. Use the filters to analyze China’s commercial manufacturing markets by Region, Mission Area, Mass Class, and Orbit Type.
