WASHINGTON, DC – Avascent has acquired the satellite, space, and telecommunications businesses of Futron Corporation, a leading provider of market analytics and consulting services to corporate and government clients around the world.

With the integration of the Futron space and telecommunications team, Avascent will further deepen its expertise in the sector. Avascent already serves the full spectrum of space and satellite communications players, from NASA to launch providers, satellite manufacturers, satcom operators, and service providers.

“Futron has long been one of the most respected names in the space and satellite communications consulting world, and we’re excited to bring its capabilities into the Avascent fold,” said Steve Irwin, Avascent’s president.

With the addition of Futron’s analytic resources and staff, Avascent will extend its reach further into related commercial and telecommunications sectors while expanding its footprint in Asia and other international markets. Futron’s databases and tools will also be fully integrated into the Avascent Analytics suite of strategic planning and competitive assessment products.

“I am pleased that our skilled and knowledgeable people and industry-leading toolsets will continue to serve our loyal clients, albeit now under the Avascent banner,” said Joseph Fuller, founder and CEO of Futron.

Together, Avascent and Futron will continue and expand upon their products and services, supporting organizations across the space, satellite, and telecommunications industries.
Futron’s aerospace safety and risk management business will continue to operate separately under the name of Futron Aviation.
