WASHINGTON, DC – Avascent is pleased to be a Silver sponsor of the 29th Annual Women in Aerospace Awards Dinner & Ceremony, taking place on Wednesday, October 29th.

“The Women in Aerospace Awards Dinner & Ceremony is an annual event dedicated to celebrating women’s professional excellence in aerospace. The Awards Ceremony is WIA’s premiere event of the year, honoring women whose outstanding contributions to the aerospace community are legendary.

  • Aerospace Educator Award: Alexandra Kindrat, Teacher, Lester B. Pearson School Board, St. Thomas High School, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
  • Initiative, Inspiration, Impact Award: Samantha Pappas, MQ-4C Air Vehicle Test Lead, Naval Air Systems Command 2.1, Patuxent River, Maryland
  • Leadership Award Recipient: Leanne Caret, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, St. Louis, Missouri
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Carolyn Huntoon, Consultant, Barrington, Rhode Island
  • WIA Foundation 2013 Scholarship Winner: Jessica Felde, a junior in aerospace and mechanical engineering at West Virginia University
