Tim Stanos named Managing Director of Avascent

WASHINGTON, DC – Avascent, a strategy and management consultancy serving government-driven markets, is pleased to announce that it has promoted Tim Stanos to Managing Director.

Since joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Stanos has advised large integrators, leading defense product suppliers and government services firms on issues of strategy, competitive positioning and business capture. His expertise spans defense systems and military platforms and logistics and technical services, across the entire supply chain. More generally, Stanos has worked with clients to hone their competitive approach and align their offerings to meet the demanding technical needs and cost constraints of today’s government customers.

Stanos has played a major role in expanding Avascent’s pricing strategy work, focused on implementation of rigorous “Should Cost,” “Design-to-Cost” and “Price-to-Win” (PTW) methodologies that integrate in-depth research and analysis with parametric modeling of advanced defense systems. These techniques have enabled clients to clearly understand their competitive strengths and weaknesses in critical competitions. As part of Avascent’s business capture and pricing practice, he has led dozens of engagements focused on helping clients understand customer requirements and decision-making processes in order to craft winning solutions.

Mr. Stanos holds a degree in Economics Management and Political Science from Ohio Wesleyan University and lives with his family in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
