Tim Stanos’ Bio
Since joining Avascent in 2001, Tim has helped a wide variety of defense and aerospace contractors achieve their growth objectives through rigorous strategic planning, core and adjacent market analysis, capture support and pricing strategy, and business process improvement.
In his capacity as one of Avascent’s Managing Directors, Tim shares responsibility for setting and executing the overall strategic direction of the firm. In addition, Tim helped establish Avascent’s Business Capture & Pricing practice area, which since 2009 has supported clients’ successful capture of tens of billions of dollars in contract award value. As a leader in the practice, Tim has led successful capture and Price-to-Win campaigns in the air, land, sea, and space domains, spanning both platform and C4ISR solutions, as well as engineering services.
Tim’s clients include platform OEMs, mid- and large-tier systems integrators, C4ISR solutions providers, and high-value R&D and engineering firms. He has supported the development and implementation of growth strategies across these myriad firms and is frequently invited to lead independent pricing and capture assignments in his clients’ pursuit of new and ‘keep sold’ business opportunities.
Tim holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he graduated with honors.
