Nick Bird’s Bio

Nick Bird is the Senior Director of Product Development at Avascent, where his primary focus is in platforms and systems, helping companies formulate growth and new market strategies. He has expertise in applied analytics, using advanced data analysis and visualizations to help clients understand how their internal portfolio is positioned against the external market.

Prior for joining Avascent, Nick worked at Lockheed Martin for over 5 years where he took on leadership roles spanning engineering and business strategy. He held various engineering and programmatic roles on radar, sonar, and EW systems before joining the business unit’s business strategy team, where he helped formulate strategic plans and new market strategies.

Education

Nick holds a master’s degree in systems engineering from Cornell University and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech.
